🧀 Cheesy Sausage Breakfast Squares

Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) breakfast sausage
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands, or homemade biscuit dough)
6 large eggs
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and mozzarella)
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: a little parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) baking dish.
Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
Layer the base:
Press the biscuit dough into the bottom of the baking dish, pinching seams to seal.
Add sausage:
Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the biscuit layer.
Add cheese:
Sprinkle about 1½ cups of the shredded cheese over the sausage.
Mix eggs & milk:
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour evenly over the layers.
Top with remaining cheese.
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
Cool slightly, slice into squares, and serve.
