“Your grandfather was one of the original shareholders of First Cedar National Bank.”
I blinked.
“I knew he had investments.”
“This was more than investments.”
Thomas placed several documents on the desk.
Arthur Hale had quietly accumulated shares in the bank decades earlier. Over time, those shares had become extremely valuable.

A trust had been created in my name.
I looked at the signature.
